TRANSCRIPT OF TODAY'S EPISODE

Announcer:  You're listening to The Doctor Is In Podcast, brought to you by MartinClinic.com. During the episode, the doctors share a lot of information. As awesome as the info may be, it is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent any disease. It's strictly for informational purposes.

Dr. Martin:  Well good morning, everyone. Once again, welcome to another live this morning. Hope you're having a great start to your day. I was reading an article yesterday and it reminded me of the history on vitamin D. The article, first of all, the headline was, There's Nothing More Powerful Fighting Cancer and Cancer Treatment. Okay, so let me see if I can actually get the quote for you. Vitamin D, listen to this. Okay, this is the article. Vitamin D is the single most effective medicine against cancer, far outpacing the benefits of any cancer drug known to modern medicine. Wow, what a statement. Have you heard me talk about vitamin D, the sun? Sun, steak and steel. Have you? Yeah and have I been talking about it for a long time? Yeah, I have, okay?

Vitamin D is the single most effective medicine against cancer, far outpacing the benefits of any cancer drug known to modern science. And let me tell you, there is a war on vitamin D, and I'm going to tell you something. It's phase two of the war because phase one, I've known this for a long time and they miscalculated the number. Okay, let me give you what happened in 1928. Boy, a lot of things happened in 1928. You know what happened in 1928, Otto Warburg talked about cancer being ravenous, looking for sugar. Okay? That happened in 1928. Otto Warburg, the Warburg effect on cancer, sugar feeds cancer. It's ravenous. Okay? 1928. You know what else happened In 1928, the war on vitamin D started. People were taking vitamin D not only from the sun, but they were taking a supplement of vitamin D in 1928.

Here's history guys, the FDA, and let me read it. The FDA and the American Medical Association started A against it. Why? Why would you do that? It's a vitamin. Vitamin D is a hormone too. But why would you do that? Why would you not want people to take vitamin D? Well, you couldn't patent it. That's a big factor. And they started a war on vitamin D and started the whole nonsense of toxicity in vitamin D. Guys, studies have been done on vitamin D, been around a long time. You would have to take 50,000 IUs of vitamin D a day. Now, who does that? You would have to take 50,000 IUs. You know me, I often recommend the hammer, which is a 50,000 IU a day for three days. If you got a diagnosis of cancer, I would tell you to take 50,000 IUs a day for seven days to start. That ain't ever going to happen in terms of medicine approving it. But let me just tell you what's toxic, and even then.

If you took 50,000 IUs of vitamin D a day, seven days a week for six months, you might get a kidney stone. Okay? Now, kidney stones are either oxalates or uric acid stones. So oxalates, you might, but not if you're taking it with vitamin K2, you wouldn't have to worry about it. You see, how do the Inuit formally known as Eskimos, how would they get vitamin D? They don't get it from the sun. They're not sun bathing. Okay? How do they get it? Well, you can get vitamin D from your food if you eat it every day. And they eat blubber, they eat liver, they take seal liver, and they cod liver oil from the fish. They have that every day in the North. Okay? Now, probably not as much because we've introduced our food to them, okay? Processed foods and they get sick just like everyone else.

Kennedy said something last week in front of a Senate hearing, and he got the latest statistic. I talked about it yesterday just for a minute, but I didn't have the exact thing. I re-listened to it. He said right at the start, he just got the latest numbers from the CDC, the Center for Disease Control. You know what it is in the United States, and remember in Canada, we're your cousins, okay? Because whatever you get, we get. 76%, 76.4, I wrote it down here, 76.4% of all Americans have some form of chronic disease. Heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes, autoimmune, 76.4%. And where does the FDA and where does the AMA and where does Health Canada put all the resources? Fighting Vitamin D.

You know what happened in 1928? They recommended no more than 400 IUs. That's international units of vitamin D. Guys, 400 IUs couldn't help a mouse increase their immune system. It wouldn't be enough for a mouse. And they scared the living life out people in North America so that vitamin D, just be careful with it. You could get sick, you could get toxic. It's so silly. I ain't get over that. We got duped and we're still duped. As a matter of fact, you could hardly find an oncologist in North America that would recommend vitamin D. They don't even think of it. It's not even on their radar for treatment. And yet this article was talking about research on cancer and vitamin D. And it said again, let me read it to you. Vitamin D is the single most effective medicine against cancer. And they don't talk about it.

We're a far away removed from 1928, and here we are today, people number one, scared skinny of the sun because they don't see the benefits of vitamin D. They don't see the benefits of the sun. Hide and if you're going to get in the sun, then lather up. So you don't get any of that UVB radiation that's good for you. You don't get that vitamin D that you need. Lather up, man. In North America, we went hook, line and sinker. We went for the lie and look what we have guys. We have the sickest continent in the world and it ain't even close. Bad food and a lack of vitamin D, bad food, sugar laden food, the very thing that is really responsible for chronic disease. It's like a perfect storm. Eat sugar. Do you think the human body was ever made to live on sugar like we do? Ask a dentist, they'll tell you. Well, sugar rots your teeth. It causes cavities. Oh, yeah? Yeah well, it causes cavities everywhere else in the body too. It affects every organ.

We have, well, just diabetes, just diabetes. Nevermind the others. Nevermind heart disease, nevermind cancer and nevermind Alzheimer's, which are all related to diabetes anyways, aren't they? Metabolic syndrome. We go from 76.4% of chronic disease to 93% of the population that has metabolic syndrome. That means they're on the Titanic. So you go from 76.4 to 93, you're only left with 7% of the population that is doing well. 7%. You can measure metabolic syndrome. What do I do guys? What have we done at the Martin Clinic? What have we done at The Doctor Is In Podcast? I've added to metabolic syndrome. I want you to be able, I want my audience to self care. Take care of your self first. It's not being selfish. How can you help anybody else if you're not healthy? Do everything you can. Take care of yourself.

This is why I want to give out so much information because I want you to be able to take your blood work and understand it. Because there's so many numbers there. There's so many things they test for, and I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, but I'm telling you, you got to get the big eight. You guys do it to yourself. You get blood work and insist on a couple of things, insist on it. If you don't ask, you won't get. Now, some of you have asked and you won't get it. They won't do it. It's so silly. I can't get over it. It's criminal that a doctor won't take your vitamin D. It's criminal. But of course the doctor doesn't see it that way because since 1928, medical schools don't study vitamin D.

But guys, what have we added to metabolic syndrome besides your A1C? You know how much I love A1C. A1C is an average of your blood sugars. It is so, so indicative, even more than your blood glucose levels. Not that I wouldn't look at it. If you show me blood glucose levels, I saw them for years in my office and they're alright, but they're subject to fluctuation whereas A1C will tell you, it will tell you. If you're above 5.4 in A1C, you are in trouble. You're on the Titanic. A1C, triglycerides, even today. It's not your fault guys. It's not your fault because they don't know how to interpret blood work. And physicians have been told and retold to look at your lipids the wrong way because in their minds, heart disease is cholesterol. Still today in 2025, it's been hammered in, hammered in and hammered into their psyche. They can't think of anything else. You got heart disease? It must be cholesterol. No. Well, yes, your cholesterol is too low. You don't want low cholesterol. Cholesterol's not the bad guy.

Of course, cholesterol's in your blood. Where do you think it belongs? It belongs in every cell in your body. It belongs in your brain and it's in your blood. Why? Well, you've got trucks on the highways and byways of your blood vessels. Cholesterol is a transporter. HDL transport. Imagine going down the highways and never seen a transport truck. Are you kidding me? How would we get our food? Well, maybe by train, but then it's trucks. You know what I'm saying guys? But here we are. Since cholesterol has been made of boogeyman, they can't even read the blood work. So you got high cholesterol, and well we got a drug for that. And they look at your LDL and they want to hammer it down. And they don't even barely look at your triglycerides, your fat balls that are in your bloodstream because you're eating too many carbs, too much sugar. That'll give you high triglycerides, it's a teeter totter, will give you low HDL cholesterol.

So look at those two numbers. I repeat, I repeat, I repeat, I repeat. I have to repeat. We got new people on here every day. You can't have 90,000 followers. You can't without people coming on every day, and by the time this program is done today, and then around noon, we'll be at 10,000 views of this program. I got to repeat, and listen, this is the way I learn. If you haven't got the book, Sun Steak and Steel, get it. Why? Cause we talk about this, how to interpret your blood work. And we make it as simple as we can so that you understand it and you want to get your physician to order the right blood tests. They'll get all the others. What do you want your vitamin D levels checked for? You don't have osteoporosis. 1928, the war started on vitamin D and they don't even like to test it. You're not in menopause. What are you worried about osteoporosis for? Because I'm worried about my immune system. It doesn't work properly without vitamin D. It's part of metabolic syndrome says Dr. Martin.

If you have low vitamin D, it's a sign you have metabolic syndrome besides that. That'll put you in the 93%. And by the way, most people have low levels of vitamin D and normal is not ideal. It's not optimal. Normal, I got normal vitamin D. Okay, that's good for a mouse. And the other one I put in there is B12. I tell everybody that will listen. B12, B12, B12. Somebody said to me not long ago, you're such a simpleton. I took that as a compliment. You're such a simple person. Yeah, thank you. I don't think they meant it as a compliment, but I took it as a compliment. Why do we have to get into the weeds? Why do we have to make everything so complicated? My job is to break that down and to understand it, to make you guys understand it.

The war on vitamin D, it drives me crazy. It went to 400 IUs in 1928. The recommended dosage, oh my word. And then I can't remember, it was in the 19, I'm going to say eighties, even a little later than that, I am just trying to refresh my brain. They said we might've miscalculated. I think we could take a little bit more of vitamin D. Let's move it up to a 1000 IUs. Okay? That's for a child. And even then, they're so scared. They're so scared and they've scared people too. Do you know guys, and you know this, but I got to repeat. Go in the sun. Now good luck. We're in Northern Ontario, okay? We get four seasons in Northern Ontario. No, we don't. We get two, we get winter and then summer. And guess what? It's winter. Well, you folks south of the border, you would think you're in winter. If you were in my hometown today, because it's cold. Okay? But it's not winter. We get a fall, okay? And in the fall, well, good luck with vitamin D.

Now, if the sun is out, I want you to take advantage of that. Why? Because of melatonin. You don't have to take a supplement of melatonin. I don't even recommend that. But get outside. Let your eyeballs get in the sunlight. And guess what? Your body makes melatonin. So in the fall, okay, I'm looking outside. The sun's not out this morning. We get periods where we don't see the sun for quite a while. Anywho, now's the time guys to take vitamin D. If you weren't taking it all summer because you were one of those people that got enough sunshine and you got to have it on your arms and your legs to get the right amount of vitamin D. The biggest solar panels in your body are your arms and legs. If you get 20 minutes on your arms and legs, you get 10,000 IUs. If you can get 10,000 IUs in the sun, how can in 20 minutes, how can 10,000 IUs of vitamin D be toxic a day? How could that be toxic? I asked the question. Nobody ever got sick. Nobody.

Guys, I brought this to you before because during COVID, remember me, remember what was I doing during COVID? I was John the Baptist. Remember screaming in the wilderness. I felt like I was in the wilderness. Hello? Hello, everybody. Take vitamin D, please. Let's all go down to Florida. Let's take Canada and move us to the beaches in Florida. Okay? Now they closed the beaches in Florida for two weeks. And boy, you should have heard me screaming about that. Anyway, I just said, well, what'll fix the virus more than anything else? Vitamin D. And you know what they're showing now? I was right about that. I was right about that. I didn't even talk about the vaccines or whatever. I didn't talk about that. I just said, you take care of yourself. You build your immune system up.

And I really emphasized that. I said, here's a couple of things. Take vitamin D and take a good dose of it every day. Your T cells, your navy seals, your white blood cells. They're called T-cell. They're lymphatic cells. You know what? Every cell in your body's got antennas for vitamin D, but T cells, it's supercharged their batteries with vitamin D. Did I not say that? So I said, well, you can't avoid vitamin D. And then another thing I said, eat steak. Did I not? Why? Well, then you get your zinc, then you get your vitamin A. Vitamin A is the invisible mask. I'm wearing my mask. What? I'm wearing it. Can you not tell? Well, I don't take vitamin A as a supplement. I eat it. Why? I eat it. When you have an egg, you got vitamin A, eat your vitamin A, eat your zinc. You want to take zinc as a supplement, okay? I don't care. I'd rather you eat it. Didn't I say that? Eat your steak. Take vitamin D, get in the sun if you can.

I'll tell you how crazy they were in Sudbury. They didn't want you to go out of your house. I got a migraine, a bad one, on the stupidity of that. They wanted to lock you in. You couldn't go visit grandma. And I'm a grandpa. Hello. So what happened to the world? It went stupid. Vitamin D, the war you see, it's a war. And you guys, you know better. And then I said something else too. Okay? So on the positive side, build your immune system, vitamin D, supplement, sun, wear your invisible mask. Eat steak, take zinc by eating it with steak. Okay? Eggs, meat and cheese. You get zinc. It's not found in the plant kingdom. And then on the negative side, I said, and stop eating sugar as much as possible. Why? Because one little teaspoon of sugar will put your white blood cells into a siesta, put 'em to sleep. Sugar puts your T cells to sleep. Imagine that. We should have done that. The society would've been so much better off if they had done that, but they weren't listening. Now you were, but they weren't. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Anyway, I got all excited today, I shouldn't.
